OSHA 10 Hour Construction Class, May 24 & 25

Available upon request (10 person minimum)

This 10-Hour Construction Safety Course, 29 CFR 1926, is intended to provide instruction on a variety of construction safety and health standards. Upon successful completion of this course participants will receive an OSHA Construction Safety and Health 10-Hour Card.

Who should attend? This course is designed to provide an awareness of Construction safety and health standards to constructionWorkers, supervisors or any other personnel involved in Construction activities.

Agenda to include:

  • Introduction to OSHA, OSHA ACT/General Duty 5 (a) (1)
  • Competent Person (Subpart C)
  • Electrical (Subpart K)
  • Fall Protection (Subpart M)
  • Personal Protective and Lifesaving Equipment, (Subpart E)
  • Materials Handling, Storage, Use and Disposal (Subpart H)
  • Tools-Hand and Power, (Subpart I)
  • Cranes, Derricks, Hoists, Elevators, and Conveyors, (Subpart N)

Cost: $140 per person.

Time: Day 1 - 7:00am to 3:00pm & Day 2 - 7:00am to 10:00am

Contractor Licensing Review Wednesday, Available Upon Request

OSHA News

As you all know, contractors in the Metro Omaha Area will need to be licensed if they need to pull permits. The deadline has been extended from March 1st to September 1st, 2012. This 1 hour seminar will help you become familiar with the IRC 2006 code book, how to understand the code numerations, where to purchase refernece material, how to register for your appropriate test, give you an idea of what can and cannot be done at the test site and even provide a practice test to be used as a study aid.

This review will focus on the Class C license exam. If you are interested in a Class D license, packets are avaiable upon request.

Cost is $65 and $55 for MOBA members.

Wednesday, May 9th 3:00pm at the MOBA Office, 4141 N 156th Street, Omaha, NE.
